PHARMACY BUYER - CARROLL HOSPITAL
JOB SUMMARY Ensures that all services are delivered in accordance with the mission statement and SPIRIT values of Carroll Hospital Center and the Pharmacy Department.
The Pharmacy Buyer is responsible for pharmaceutical and supply purchasing and associated record keeping.
Drives purchases/projects or cost-savings initiatives for drugs, pharmaceuticals, equipment, and services.
Coordinates the drug recall procedure.
Performs the technical tasks involved with the storage, distribution, packaging and labeling of drugs.
REQUIREMENTS Associate's Degree Preferred, High School Diploma Required Minimum of 2-4 years Pharmacy Technician experience required Intermediate Clerical skills - General knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software and the ability to manipulate spreadsheets, databases and publication software.
Interpersonal skills, both written and oral, are necessary in order to effectively communicate with hospital personnel and outside contacts/vendors through email or phone conversations.
Maryland Pharmacy Tech State Registration required Recommended Skills Administration Communication Databases Interpersonal Skills Microsoft Office Packaging And Processing Duties Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
