Job Description
Purpose and Objective of Position:
The Cost Analyst's objective is to assist the Finance Department in achieving its goals by completing assigned responsibilities and special projects for the assigned product line(s). This position reports directly to the Cost Accounting Supervisor.
Duties:
Customer Bid Proposals
Assist in the development of new project bids to establish costing and revenue projections.
Assist with costing updates as requested by Program Managers.
Facilitate process coordination.
Balanced Score Card
Create a BSC for each new project bid.
Update existing BSC projects for additional offers and actuals.
Maintain scope of conformance of 85% or better on monthly project status report.
Standard Cost Updates
Maintain FI/CO view of the material master to reflect accurate costs, burdens, labor rates and overheads.
Weekly cost updates for new materials and BOM/Routing changes.
Monthly cost updates of -csg Material.
Cost updates as requested by Purchasing or Production.
Y/E revalue - validate standard costs based on weighted average costs.
Semi-annual updates to GGK costing views in accordance with corporate goals.
Special Projects and Assignments
Completion of Other Duties as assigned.
Support month-end closing activities as needed.

Required Skills
A solid understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is required.
Excellent time management skills and experience working in a manufacturing environment with Sales over $100M is desirable.
Experience working for a global company with SAP ERP is a plus.
Strong written and oral communications skills are essential.
A minimum of 5 years of Accounting experience is required.
Bachelors Degree in Accounting is required.
