Job Description
The Senior Accountant is responsible for preparation and analysis of the assigned to the Knorr Brake Company (KBC) business units - Doors and HVAC. Duties include the complete monthly financial close process, preparation, analysis and reporting of financials for internal and external customers. This position is also responsible for the assigned KBC business units' day to day accounting duties, including A/R, A/P and GL entries.
Responsibilities in order of priority
Monthly Reporting
Prepare monthly internal financial reports for management
Interact with Intercompany contacts to reconcile Receivables/Payables
Prepare Corporate reporting requirements incl., SEM, OLAP books, A/R Report, Functional P&L, etc.
Review month-end financials with Controller and Director of assigned KBC business unit.
Prepare Departmental Spending Reports and provide detailed spending when requested by Managers
Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
Intercompany payment confirmations via Bellin tool
Support offsite A/P clerk in resolving PO issues, GL charge codes, etc.
Process Debit memo cancellations / revisions
Reconcile Debit memo postings with intercompany partners
Review Accrued AP frequently for past due items and take appropriate action to clean up
Account Reconciliations
Analyze Balance Sheet accounts
Prepare summary of activity and reconciling items for corrective action
Complete other accounting projects as directed by the Controller
To include but not limited to annual tax return workpapers, insurance renewal and audit support.
Month-end Journal Entries
Prepare recurring and reversing entries for data entry
Verify accuracy of journal entries keyed into SAP ERP system
Fixed Assets
Maintain copies of all vendor invoices and transactions capitalized to a CIP account
Prepare asset input form for closed appropriation requests for data entry into SAP
Prepare and distribute capital spending reports
Annual Budgets / Forecasts
Develop annual budgets and mid-year forecasts for Balance Sheet position
Required Skills
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Experience: 5+ years.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
